Congratulations to Victoria Ford for winning first prize in the American Association of Geographers' Climate Specialty Group student paper competition last week!
Victoria's talk "The Influence of Arctic Sea Ice Thinning on the Atmospheric Boundary Layer" summarized part of her first dissertation chapter. The award comes with a cash prize and recognizes both the substance of the research and the quality of the presentation. Victoria was also elected to the Climate Specialty Group's board of directors last week and will serve as the Young Scholars Director for 2019-2021. Great work, Victoria, and congratuations on these well-deserved honors!
